I was making cookies the other day. I had five left to bake, so I put them in the oven and set the timer. My mom decided that she needed to clean the top of the oven while it was hot, she got her rag out and wiped every thing down. When the timer beeped, I opened the oven to see dark brown smoking cookies! My mom had accidentally turned it up to 500 degrees while she was washing the oven!
