Poem

I’m here

The world spins

While I stand still

Thinking

Listening

Waiting for something

Wishing

For something

Remembering

Old times

They rattle in my head

Pulling teardrops out

Crying

Having no idea why

Wanting something

Close my eyes

Forget

I must

Silly Song

This is a silly song that my friend and I made up on the way home from a homeschool band we do.

Silly Song #1

Coca-cola went to town

Dr. Pepper shot him down

Pepsi-cola fixed him up

Now we all drink 7-Up

7-Up got the flu

Now we all drink Mountain Dew

Mountain Dew climbed a mountain

Now we all drink from the fountain

Water, water has no taste

Now we all drink Gatorade

Gatorade fell off the gate

Now we all drink Lemonade

Lemonade is so sour

Now we drink at Happy Hour (Sonic special)

Happy Hour is full of fools

Now we all drink Red Bull (energy drink)

Red Bull lost it power

I shouldn’t be tellin’, but we drank Ellen

Ellen, Ellen has a lisp

Now we all drink Mrs. Smith

Mrs. Smith fell asleep

Now we’re all singin’ Jesus Take the Wheel

The end is not a lie

But we died

Poetry #3 Written 10/30/07

“I hate you!”

What once gave me peace now makes me angry.

I got off track. Like bad looking good in the face.

My secret place I did hate.

It reminded me of the peace I once got.

Why could I not get it again?

It never changed.

it was still just as beautiful as God had created it.

I had rotted!

Oh, what a horrible thing!

I now expect to find the same peace that I once had; if I ever go back.

If I ever take that chance.

Poetry #2, Written 9/30/07

“It’s just a baby needing a liver, take him!” she said.

“He is a baby needing a liver, thank you,” he whispered.

He, dirty and tattooed treasured that baby like his last breath of life.

I’m proud of him, proud of him.

Poetry #1, Written 3/-/07

Rain streams down the window, same as my tears.

But wetter my face than the window.

Thoughts of anger and sadness are as black as the clouds.

Muddy and wet is my conscience.

My heart is trying to get warm from the icy wind.

This is not a regular storm, for it is in my heart.
